Get Your Sabina Kane Fix!
***CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED.***
So, I happen to have an extra set of Red-Headed Stepchild and The Mage in Black by Jaye Wells on hand. Don’t ask how this happened. It’s still a sore spot for my pocket book.
Now, I was desperately trying to figure out how I could possibly share the glorious genius that is Jaye Wells’ Sabina Kane series when it occurred to me that we did just launch a brand new book review site, where we discuss–you guessed it–books. So, I, in all my awesomeness, (shut up, I am awesome) decided I wanted to give away the extra set I have.
So, here’s a quick run down of the two books:
RED-HEADED STEPCHILD

Publisher: Orbit
Release Date: April 2009
Format: Mass Market Paperback 342 pages
ISBN 10: 0316037761
ISBN 13: 9780316037761
Genre: Urban Fantasy
In a world where being of mixed-blood is a major liability, Sabina doesn’t really fit in. And being an assassin – the only profession fit for an outcast – doesn’t help matters. But she’s never brought her work home. Until now.
Her latest mission is uncomfortably complex, and threatens the fragile peace between the vampire and mage races. As Sabina scrambles to figure out which side she’s on, she uncovers a tangled political web, some nasty facts about her family and some unexpected new talents. Any of these things could be worryingly life-changing, but together, they could be fatal …
This time, it’s personal.
THE MAGE IN BLACK

Publisher: Orbit
Release Date: April 2010
Format: Mass market Paperback 340 pages
ISBN 10: 031603780X
ISBN 13: 9780316037808
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Sabina Kane doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to family. After all, her own grandmother, leader of the vampire race, wants her dead. So when she arrives in New York to meet her mage relatives, the reunion puts the fun in dysfunctional. Not only is mage culture completely bizarre, but everyone seems to think she’s some kind of ‘Chosen’ who’ll unite the dark races. Sabina doesn’t care who chose her, she’s not into destiny.
But the mages aren’t Sabina’s only problem. In New York’s Black Light District, she has run-ins with fighting demons, hostile werewolves and an opportunistic old flame. Sabina thought she’d take a bite out of the Big Apple – but it looks like it wants to bite back.
Alright, so here’s the deal and it’s SUPER easy.

i love the title and cover for red headed stepchild!

I am a fan of the facebook page.
I need these books more than music itself ( I would say life, but if I said that then I would potentially lose my life if I won and then I wouldn’t be able to read them, thus rendering the whole process useless ) because I have red hair, I am obsessed with vampires and have been since I was like 8 years old and my best-friend in school’s ex-boyfriend always used to call me the red-headed step-child because he hated my guts. Eventually I had to “own” that phrase in an attempt to avoid permanent emotional damage.
Thus, I feel as though my sanity and ownership of the term he used to torment me rest solely on my possession of these books. Also ( fun fact ) my family wants me dead too, so it’s sort of like destiny for me to find Jay Wells. And they sound yummy-fun.
Dru, you are slowly becoming my hero(ine). That is all…
I am quickly becoming addicted to your site. I like it.
Well I would love these books also…but only because it would give me something new and not school related
I have love vampires since I was knee high to a grasshopper
I still have every vampire book I ever read. I had no clue these were out there though!! I became a facebook fan cause well duh it’s Linda
And Linda and books go together better than ice cream and cake
Never heard of this series, and I’m alwas on a quest to find awesome new books in the paranormal, it would be a delite to devour these deliciously praised books.

MELISSA
Omg is it the 7th yet the suspense is killing me…lol
I am a huge Jaye fan I follow all her tweets to and have often been responded to (meadowfairy) I love Sabina she is one seriously tough heroine. And giguhl is freaking hilarious.
Dru – you crack me up. Fer Serials!!
Melissa, I freaking adore Jaye Wells’ books. You will love them.
MJ – Giguhl is awesome. The four of us actually asked Jaye to make the “Why is it forked?” shirt. Because of his awesomeness.
Great job on the site. I’m obsessed already. Kudos!
I would love these books!! I was told about them by a friend and I have been wanting to read them ever since…
I have read the first of these books and would love to share the great tale with a fellow book lover. The second would be all mine read, enjoy and escape for a nit into Jaye Well’s amazing imagination.
These books look awsome and I can use a new author very badly when you read a book a day it’s hard to afford new books. Plus I have friends that borrow my books and I would love to share it with them. Plus I’ll die if I don’t have them.. LOL.
I feel your pain on affording new books. The four of us, we hand off our books to each other. It’s taken the financial load of us so much. Not that we stop buying books. In fact, I’m pretty sure I funded an entire B&N store myself last year.
It’s gotten so bad on the lending that we have a spread sheet to keep track of who has what books…. Nooooo, we aren’t OCD At. All.
Nope. Not us. We don’t use spreadsheets and lists AT ALL.
….Okay, maybe a little.
You can’t rat us out like that!
>_>
Or maybe you can…
Just like that.
I also twittered and added facebook page http://twitter.com/babypeace99

Thank you for such a fantastic giveaway!!
All my blogger friends sang the praise of this series and I have the 1st book (Red-Headed Step-Child) on my TBR shelf, I would like to win Mage in Black, because there are few things worse than not having the sequel in your hands when you finished a book you fell in love with. Thanks for the giveaway. I wold really like to have these books, I’ve probably looked at the cover at least a hundred times but have yet to buy it.
I agree with Stella’s comment too, I know it drives me crazy if I really love a book and finish it without having the sequel on hand.
